I saw Shonen Knife last night and they were absolutely AMAZING. As I was only there through hearing that Kurt Cobain was a fan, I didn't really know what to expect, then there they were swishing their hair, waving their towels, singing about cats and Sushi and doing really, really good Ramones covers. And I was totally hooked. From the instant they walked on stage up until now I haven't stopped smiling, they're energy was off the scale and as the only all female Japanese punk rock band they act as an inspirational milestone in music. Lesson learned: going to see a band you've never heard of just based on hype and well known fans can sometimes reaaally really pay off <3
